How it works
- 1Start with a blank document or click “Open” to choose a .docx, .pdf or .txt file.
- 2Use the Home, Insert, Layout and View tabs to format text and add tables, pictures, links and pages.
- 3Click “Save (.docx)” to download a Word file, or “Print / PDF” to save it as a PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Is my document uploaded to a server?
No. Opening, editing and saving all happen in your browser. The automatic draft is kept only in this device’s browser storage.
Will it look the same in Word?
Fonts, sizes, bold/italic, colours, highlights, alignment, indents, line spacing, lists, tables, pictures, paper size and margins are written to the .docx. Headers/footers, comments and track changes are not supported yet.
Can I open a PDF?
Yes. The PDF is first converted to a Word document on your device, keeping fonts, paper size, margins and images, and then opened in the editor.
Which shortcuts work?
Ctrl+B/I/U formatting, Ctrl+Z/Y undo/redo, Ctrl+S save, Ctrl+P print, Ctrl+F find & replace, Ctrl+K insert link.
