How it works

Frequently asked questions
Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. Trimming happens entirely in your browser; the video never leaves your device.
Will the quality drop?
Whenever possible the video and audio are copied without re-encoding, so quality stays the same. If a cut point does not fall on a keyframe, only that part is re-encoded.
Which formats are supported?
MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM and MKV. WebM videos are saved as WebM, everything else as MP4.
Is a watermark added?
No, AddFile never watermarks your videos.
